Evoking the Jetsons, Flintstones, and Raymond Loewy, the classic 1950s kidney-shape is one of the iconic designs of the biomorphic or ‘googie” style that came to prominence in Southern California in the 1950s. The kidney shape design was applied to swimming pools, wall paper patterns, table-top plastic laminates, furniture, and of course, fiberglass lampshades.
Shown here in mustard with black arcs, Meteor Lights fabricates the kidney-shape lampshade design in any color/pattern/lanyard combination.
