Lumicel lighting parchment – fiberglass alternative

**Meteor Lights now designs and fabricates lampshades, pendant lamps, and other lighting products with our own Lumicel lighting parchment. Instead of problematic glass fibers, Lumicel gets its glowing luminosity from strands of recycled water bottles. Unlike fiberglass lampshades, with lampshades and other lighting products made from Lumicel there are no splinters, no airborne glass fibers, and no offgassing, Lumicel has an even more luminous glow than fiberglass lampshade parchment, and is far more durable, as it won’t rip or tear. Although it does have an attractive texture, Lumicel doesn’t have the dust-magnet “pores” typical of fiberglass lampshade parchment, and so it is much easier to keep clean. Lumicel is the ideal lighting diffusion parchment for your mid-century modern lighting applications.
